background design

Here is my research, designs and so on for my 'ranger ricks adventures' background.
the 3 themes we had to work on was
use of blue animators pencil- drawing the outlines for a scene with little detail.
use of light-to create a coloured picture of a light sourse.
use of colour- design a scene that is only based on one colour. use of all the techniques used previoisly.

This project was really intresting and i was happy to revive my watercolours! and try and remeber as many techniques as possible (which was intresting and fun in itself ^_^ EXPERIMENTATION!

In all i was pretty happy with my final drawings concidering its my first go at doing it not as a fine art project =]

Heres my first ever attempt of a story board.
i found it really intresting, by the fact that i could actually create my own story. even tho it already has a script i felt i had a fair bit of freedom with my imagination. i didnt want to make things too confusing so i tried a simplistic route, but as much imagination as possible without it looking silly
my only down fall was the fact that i found it hard to keep my concentration because it just took ages! XD
but im pleased with my result ^_^
