Souled Shoes

heres my final experimental. im really happy with the whole thing the only thing that im extremyl disapointed in myself with is the speed that its going at iv spent ages trying to change the spped with out it affecting the time for it to go along with the music. i did plan it all out so it fit with the music exactly but it didnt turn out so right. but anyway i hope you enjoy =]

ok  im going to explain more about the actual filming and prep work in my next post were i uploud the video so heres just my dope sheet. its done all wrong i know but this way i used the initial idea and did it in a way that i can understand what im doing =] and 3 frames taken from my animation in a publicity style so enjoy =D

experimental base work

the shoe idea, iv decided that with the shoe im going to do the old foot placement either side of the shoe so the shoe will dance around and the foot placement will show were the next step is then with a shaded placement were the shoe was, so it as if you looking at it through real life and working progress =]. heres a few dance designs i have sketched out, for instance moves such as gliding twists and interaction with the partner.
the environment will start in the room dancing round in the middle and end up moving outside and into the woods, inwhich it could end with a soppy love ending of the two pairs of shoes going out into the big world with their dancing talent...together ^_^

the animator that influences me for having an everyday object and giving it life in a comedic way would have to be pez. i love his style and witt. his animations have alot of character and the sock one shows it and i think it is a good lead for my experimental piece.

experimental charleston style

when i was thinking about my experimental i came across this video and instantly i had the idea of dancing shoes, because the song that i have chosen is very bouncy and the rhythm is funky and just makes you tap your foot. so i had the idea of 2 pairs of shoes dancing whiles the owner is away. i love the fluid movement of the dancers and im fascinated by the movement of their feet! so energetic and extreme.
