credits for suzie pea

Ok here are the credits for the 3rd year project i am working on as a producer and many other things.
Chloe, the director wanted the style to look a bit child-like and with some character. so I decided to go with the static movement which i think goes well with the cut out feel. In editing there will be stars placed around the names and made all jazzy =]

3rd year projects.

So in my Second year we need to help the 3rd years with their films, which are about 2-5 minutes long.

The project that im working with is called Suzie Pea. Which will be a children's TV show.
This is a cut out 2D animation aimed for pre school children and is about a little girl who goes on many adventures and learns new things along the way.
For instance in this episode Suzie is afraid of the dark and through her dream goes on a mini adventure with her teddy in which she encounters a few events which cause her to grow in confidence.

Iv'e been helping with this project basically since day one. I helped Chloe (the director) with the preparation for and within the pitch and has created a team of animators and puppet makers. The software we decided to work in will be celaction, originally Chloe wanted to work on the line testers and animate it a bit like stop motion. However the lecturers thought that celaction would be easier to use and it would look a lot more professionally. It would basically be in the same style as Charlie and Lola.
As producer I have been drawing up work flows, and shot break downs so that the animators know what they are having to animate and whose doing which one. In these charts that i have created for the shot break down I have also colour coded them so that Chloe and I can see how far into the animating everyone has gotten into, for instance

Yellow - started animating shot
Orange - half way through animating
Green - finished animating

I have also assigned specific roles for people and given each animator a scene in which they can work on to their advantage.

The only problem that we have encountered with this project is that no one has ever really used celaction. its a fairly hidden software and you can watch tutorials or read on celaction. So we have had to ask Nick to help us out with the software. Nick has been working on a children's TV show called chuggington and has used celaction for a fair bit.

Production.

Currently we have just finished making the puppets and back grounds while the others have been taking these puppets and started animating with them. here are a few images of what work we have been doing.
