I have chosen this video to help me know exactly what camera angles are needed and what camera movements will show more power and emotion to my project. This has also helped with what lighting I might like and how I want this project staged.

I alsi love the background in this piece and i can use it as reference towards my projects background. I dont want a definant line displaying the depth of their environment but i want a shadowed indiction to give the viewer and understanding as to its depth. I alwso want the background to have a paper texture a bit like water colour and homemade paper to give it that organic and artistic feel.

I will also be using light in the section of fear and hope to help give off their emotion.

Norman McLaren Pas de Deux 1968 (infinitus artificium research)

This short film really inspired me, After a long discussion with others with how to make this project even better Norman McLaren was mentioned and after i researched his work i found this and beleive that it could be incredibly usefull to my project.

With this video i love the time lapse that is displayed by both female and male characters. I beleive this could go really well with the hope section as i was a bit stuck with it when i was creating the last animatic. I think that the time lapse idea could go really well with the movement and the emotion. It would be a nice change from the ink and charcoal trail.

The hope section will be done it 3d so we will have to do a few tests to see how the time lapse idea looks!

Here is another example of the power of the animator when in comes to animating with the human figure in both live action and editing.

This is a beautiful use of stop motion and live action! How the character interacts with the animation and work with it as one whole piece.

I found this again to help the 3D artisits in my course understand that this doesnt have to be a 2d project, that they are able to put their 3D skills to the limit with this piece. As long as it looks organic and flows easily with the piece.

For instance i like this video but i dont think it would work well with the rest, However if you took and and animated the human form within it and have the lines depicting the angles of the dancer...that could look quite fun! and visually exciting.

This is a good example of the lines that the dancer can make whilst they are moving and helpfull towards the dancers for them to understand what an animator can actually do with the power of art when creating something from a dance. that there is literially no limit. The colour and line work in this is fluid and amazing.
 Hopefully this will help 3D animators on my course realise this piece doesnt have to be just 2D

With this video i decided to pop it into my influence because i think its a good example of the anger/fear that the character to go through and a nice attachment to the two characters in their emotions and 'story' Which will then lead nicely to the hope side of the piece.

Rythmatic gynastics for movement research

Ive been looking into rythmatic gymnastics because ive come to the conclusion that they could help with researching into movement. The flexibility of the gymnasts and their ability to move across the screen in such beautiful bold yet fluid movement amazes me.

Ive mostly looked into the use of the ribbons and the use of the balls because I think that when they use these specific objects their bodies are a lot more flexible and agile.

The ribbons help me in getting to grips with the line of motion and the movement.
By tracing the path of the ribbon i believe it could help in some of the animation and some of the art styles. you can pretend the ribbon is the path of the body or part of the body, for instance the arm, leg, head etc.

The ball makes the body more curved and flexible by the fact that they hold the ball within the crick of their leg or arm etc. its so fascinating to watch the move around and be so flexible

kind of makes you a bit depressed haha.

I think these videos could really help myself and the dance crew come up with some really artistic and beautiful stuff.
